Meet Jason Borrevik, the Principal of Compensia

Jason Borrevik is a talented management consultant with over 15 years of experience in this role.

Currently, he is the Principal of Compensia, the nation’s premier management consulting firm providing executive compensation advisory services to technology and life sciences companies.

Throughout his 20+ year career, Jason has developed strong skills in the following areas: investor relations, securities, executive pay, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate governance.


Jason attended the University of Oregon, where he received a BA in Economics. Upon graduation, Jason pursued a law degree at the University of California, Berkeley. During this time, he worked as a legal intern for the Oakland Raiders. In 1997, Jason graduated with his Juris Doctor degree in 1997.


After graduation, Jason began working for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a law firm in the Silicon Valley. He was there for seven years, working in the executive compensation and benefits group as a senior consultant. He assisted technology companies with compensation matters, including accounting, tax, legal, and regulatory issues. While in his role, he worked for some of the largest technology firms in the world, such as Yahoo and Google.

Jason Borrevik found his niche as a management consultant in 2005. He joined Compensia after learning about it from former law firm co-workers. The company was still in its early stages, as it was established in 2003. Jason was compelled, however, by the company’s vision: to become the US’ number one independent advisor for technology and life sciences companies. He believes his transition was a smooth one, as he held a similar advisory role as a corporate attorney. Jason Borrevik finds his work technical, fast-paced, and, ultimately, rewarding.
